Blackboard Achievements

The Achievements tool allows instructors and course designers to designate criteria for issuing rewards to students in the form of badges. Students can see which rewards they’ve earned and what’s required of them to receive additional rewards, providing insight into learning progression toward defined competencies.

1. The Achievements tab is located on the course Navigation Bar. Click it to open.

2. Click the New Course Badge. 

Click new course badge.

3. Name the badge at the top of the window.  Provide Badge Details; type Description and select Badge Image.  Add Earning Requirements.

Add badge name, badge details, and earning requirements.

4. Review the Summary and click Publish.

Check the summary and click publish.

Confirm you are ready to Publish the badge.

Confirm publishing.

5. The badge displays on the Achievements dashboard.  To check the recipients list, use the ellipses menu to the left of the badge name. 

Notes:
The badge must be created before the students attempt the gradable items used for the Earning Requirements.
Achievements are not included in the course copy process at this time.
