How to Access Class for Zoom

The recommended way to access Class for Zoom is through your Blackboard course. For the best experience with Class for Zoom, particularly when using the web client, Google Chrome is recommended. While other browsers like Firefox and Edge are also supported, Chrome generally offers the most seamless experience.

1. Click on the Blackboard Course name to open it.

Open your Blackboard course.

2. Choose Launch Class from the Details and Actions menu.

From the Details & Actions menu click launch class.

Note: You need to have a Zoom license to access Class for Zoom.

Request a Zoom License if you do not already have one. This only needs to be done once.

How to Join a Session

The recommended way to access Class for Zoom is through your Blackboard course. For the best experience with Class for Zoom, particularly when using the web client, Google Chrome is recommended. While other browsers like Firefox and Edge are also supported, Chrome generally offers the most seamless experience.

1. Click on the Blackboard Course name to open it.

Open your Blackboard course.

2. Choose Launch Class from the Details and Actions menu.

From the Details & Actions menu click launch class.

Note: You need to have a Zoom license to access Class for Zoom.

Request a Zoom License if you do not already have one. This only needs to be done once.

3. Click Join Class room.

Join Class room to enter the session.

Note: Class for Zoom allows only one session to be open at a time.

How to Share Your Screen

1. Once inside your session, begin sharing your screen by clicking on the Share Screen icon located along the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.

2. Next, a window will open displaying three options. From here, you can select Chrome Tab, Window, or Entire Screen. I will share my Entire Screen.

Note: If you are sharing a video or other type of media with audio embedded, you will need to toggle the Share Audio button to enable the audio on your screen to share.  

3. When finished, click “Stop Sharing” located at the bottom of the screen.
